    Lebanon says Israeli strikes killed 29 in a day as attacks spread to Ansarieh and Jezzine

    The Health Ministry said Israeli strikes killed 29 people and wounded 133 in the previous 24 hours, bringing the toll since March 2 to 3,666 killed and 11,321 wounded. Beyond Tyre, dawn strikes killed four people in Adshit, Habboush and Kfar Reman, drone strikes around Ansarieh killed a Syrian on a motorcycle and wounded three people at a roadside café, and jets hit the Jezzine highlands.

    Guterres says all attacks must stop and the Lebanon, Iran and Gaza ceasefires must hold

    UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said on X that he was 'deeply alarmed' by the renewed escalation, that 'all attacks must stop immediately' and that the ceasefires in Lebanon, Iran and Gaza must be fully respected. A statement from his spokesperson the previous evening also called for navigational rights and freedoms to be respected, in an apparent reference to the Hormuz blockades.

    The Israeli army's Arabic-language spokesperson ordered residents of Tyre, including the Christian quarter for the first time, and of surrounding areas and the Rashidieh, Burj Shemali and al-Bass camps to move north of the Zahrani River, citing Hezbollah activity in the quarter. Hundreds fled the Christian district, civil defence crews moved older residents, and the heads of Tyre's churches appealed to the international community and President Aoun to prevent an attack on the Christian district.

    Speaking to reporters at New York's JFK airport, Trump said the U.S. was in 'the final throes' of a deal that would bar Iranian nuclear weapons, that the Strait of Hormuz would open immediately upon signing, 'which could be in two or three days', and that Israel and Iran had 'called it quits' and would leave each other alone 'for another week or something'. Asked about a U.S. helicopter that went down near Hormuz, he said the pilots were fine.

    CENTCOM said a U.S. fighter fired a precision missile into the engineering and steering spaces of the empty tanker Marivex, which was heading to Iran and whose crew had ignored U.S. directions, bringing the blockade's total to seven disabled vessels and 134 redirected.     The EU added the IRGC Navy's Hormozgan Provincial Command to its sanctions list, along with IRGC Navy deputy commander for political affairs Mohammad Akbarzadeh and Hamid Hosseini of Iran's oil, gas and petrochemical exporters' union, for restricting shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.     Israel's military said a missile was launched from Yemen and intercepted, and the Houthis said they targeted 'sensitive' sites in the Jaffa area and declared a 'complete and absolute ban' on Israeli maritime navigation in the Red Sea, saying any Israeli vessel would be a military target.     Pakistani Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi arrived in Tehran carrying what he called a 'special letter' from army chief Field Marshal Asim Munir and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei about ending the war.     Israeli strike kills Lebanese army Brigadier General Wissam Sabra and two soldiers

    An Israeli strike destroyed a Lebanese army vehicle on the road between Kfar Tebnit and Khardali, killing Brigadier General Wissam Sabra, Captain Elie Khoury and soldier Hussein Ghozal, the Lebanese army said.     Treasury sanctions a network shipping Iranian LPG disguised as Omani cargo

    The U.S. Treasury designated individuals, companies and vessels it said shipped hundreds of millions of dollars' worth of Iranian liquefied petroleum gas, disguised as Omani LPG, to buyers in South and East Asia through front companies in the UAE and China.     Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri said the U.S.-mediated text was 'booby-trapped' by requiring a complete Hezbollah ceasefire and the evacuation of its fighters from south of the Litani.
