    Iran's military command says Hormuz will be 'completely closed' if power plants are hit

    Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya military command said that if U.S. threats against Iran's power plants were carried out, the Strait of Hormuz would be completely closed until the plants were rebuilt, and that Israel's power and energy infrastructure and power plants in countries hosting U.S. bases would be struck. Iran's Foreign Ministry separately said safe passage remained possible for vessels not linked to the U.S., Israel or other "participants in the aggression."

    Twenty-two countries demand Iran stop attacking ships and end the Hormuz closure

    Leaders of 22 countries, including the UAE, Bahrain, Britain, France, Germany, Japan, Canada, South Korea and Australia, condemned Iran's attacks on unarmed commercial vessels and the "de facto closure" of the strait, called on Iran to stop laying mines and comply with U.N. Security Council Resolution 2817, and urged a moratorium on attacks on civilian energy infrastructure.

    Hegseth promises largest U.S. strike package yet as Pentagon seeks $200 billion more

    Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said Thursday's strikes would be the largest package of the war, with more than 7,000 targets hit so far, and said all 11 of Iran's small submarines were gone; Gen. Dan Caine said U.S. jets were striking deeper into Iran and had hit more than 90 targets on Kharg Island. A senior administration official told AP the Pentagon had asked the White House for $200 billion in additional war funding.

    Trump says Israel will stop hitting South Pars, threatens to destroy it if Iran hits Qatar

    In a Truth Social post Wednesday night, Trump said Israel would make no more attacks on Iran's South Pars gas field but that if Iran attacked Qatar again the United States would "massively blow up the entirety" of the field. He said the U.S. "knew nothing" about Israel's strike, although a person familiar with the matter told AP Washington had been informed of the plan.

    UAE shuts Habshan gas plant and Bab field after overnight Iranian attacks

    Abu Dhabi shut down operations at the Habshan gas facility and the Bab field after interceptions over the sites and called Iran's attacks on them a "dangerous escalation." Saudi Arabia, which also reported downing drones aimed at its gas facilities, said after a Gulf ministers' meeting in Riyadh that "what little trust there was before has completely been shattered."

    Projectile hits Bushehr nuclear plant grounds; IAEA says no damage or injuries reported

    Rosatom chief Alexey Likhachev said a strike hit near the metrology building at the Bushehr plant, close to the operating unit, and Iran's atomic energy agency said no part of the plant was harmed. The IAEA said Iran told it a projectile hit the premises Tuesday evening with no damage or injuries, and Director General Rafael Grossi urged maximum restraint.
