    Israel strikes Beirut's southern suburbs, targeting Hezbollah's Radwan commander

    Israel struck a building in the Haret Hreik and Ghobeiri area of Beirut's southern suburbs, the first strike there in about a month, and Netanyahu and Katz said it targeted the commander of Hezbollah's Radwan Force. A source close to Hezbollah told AFP that Radwan operations commander Malek Ballout was killed, and Israel's army said the next day it had killed the Radwan commander, whom it named as Ahmad Balut, and two other Hezbollah officials.
