Israel says its troops have taken control of the Wadi Saluki area in south Lebanon

The IDF said 7th Armored Brigade and Egoz commando forces had achieved 'operational control' of the Wadi Saluki stream area, about 10 km from the border, which it called a Hezbollah hub for explosive drones and rocket fire, and that troops and aircraft had struck hundreds of sites and killed more than 50 operatives. It also released footage of an air strike on Hezbollah members fleeing a tunnel near Beaufort Castle days earlier.

Why it matters
