Israeli strike on Tyre's al-Masaken housing area kills eight; another nearby kills three

An Israeli strike on the al-Masaken residential area of Tyre killed eight people and wounded 35, including three children, and a separate strike on el-Buss in the Tyre district killed three and wounded nine, Lebanon's National News Agency and Health Ministry said. Two Lebanese Red Cross paramedics were wounded when a vehicle near their base in Tyre was hit.

Why it matters

The strikes came the same morning as Israel's order for the whole city to evacuate, and Tyre's toll was the heaviest in south Lebanon that day.
