The IRGC said it launched drones at the U.S. Fifth Fleet in Bahrain and missiles at an air base in Jordan hosting U.S. forces, claiming 21 targets hit including F-35 hangars, while Bahrain sounded sirens and Kuwait's air defences engaged 'hostile aerial targets'. Jordan said it shot down five Iranian missiles aimed at al-Azraq with no casualties, a U.S. official said nearly all the missiles and drones were intercepted, and a missile fell in a field near Damascus.
Why it matters
Iran's foreign ministry then said Gulf states were responsible for stopping U.S. and Israeli attacks from their territory, and the U.S. struck Iran again the next night.
