Axios reported that four U.S. Air Force planes left for Europe to prepare for a possible U.S.-Iran signing in Geneva, where Vice President JD Vance was expected to sign, and Switzerland offered to host it. Iran's Fars news agency, citing a source close to the negotiating team, said reports of a Sunday signing in Geneva were false, and Iran's foreign ministry said it could not discuss a time or place before a decision in Tehran.
Why it matters
The logistics ran ahead of any Iranian approval; the memorandum was eventually signed electronically, not at a ceremony.
