Israeli forces push toward Ali Taher near Nabatieh; Lebanese army leaves Kfar Tebnit post

AP reported that Lebanese army troops withdrew from their barracks in Kfar Tebnit as Israeli forces advanced toward the strategic Ali Taher hill near Nabatieh, where L'Orient Today reported heavy clashes. The Israeli military said it hit more than 70 Hezbollah sites in the past day, and the Lebanese army said an Israeli drone seriously wounded one of its soldiers near Nabatieh.
Why it matters
Fighting for the Ali Taher hills continued after the U.S.-Iran deal; on June 21 Netanyahu exempted that battle from an order to hold fire in Lebanon.
