Brent futures rose about 3% to above $90 a barrel in Monday trading in Asia, a one-month high, as nightly U.S. strikes and Iranian retaliation kept Hormuz shipping at a trickle.
Why it matters
The Houthis announced a blockade of Saudi ports the same day, threatening the Red Sea route Saudi Arabia had used to export oil around the Hormuz closure.
