A Qatari delegation arrived in Tehran to discuss bilateral relations, regional developments and efforts to end the war, Iranian media said, and a diplomat told AFP the negotiators had travelled after consultations with U.S. officials to address remaining differences between Washington and Tehran.
Why it matters
The visit kept a mediation channel open as the U.S. prepared a second night of strikes; the Qatari team left Tehran the next morning after overnight talks.
