Trump says the U.S. has no talks planned with Iran and that Hormuz is open

President Trump said Tuesday the United States has no talks planned with Iran but insisted the Strait of Hormuz remains open and operating, AP reported. He said on social media that the U.S. blockade of Iranian ports remains in full force and effect, and that water mines have been removed so other marine traffic can pass. AP also cited a reported strike on a ship exiting the waterway and limited traffic.

Why this matters. This is a Tuesday official statement after Monday's Oman threat. It is not a new Oman remark.
