Katz insists on independent strike freedom

Defense Minister Israel Katz said Israel must retain the ability to act independently against Iran's nuclear program and that he and Netanyahu had instructed the IDF to prepare accordingly. He also said Israel would remain in Lebanon, Syria, Gaza, and the northern West Bank as Trump pushed an Iran MOU.

Why this matters. Israel is signaling a military carveout before any MOU is signed; the next watchpoint is whether the text gives Israel enough guarantees on uranium, missiles, proxies, and Lebanon to keep ceasefire language from breaking on first contact.
