CENTCOM completes an eighth consecutive night of strikes

U.S. Central Command said it concluded an eighth consecutive night of strikes against Iranian coastal surveillance, air defense, maritime capability, and missile and drone storage sites. American forces also struck IRGC units tied to the attack that killed two U.S. service members in Jordan.

Why this matters. Two additional nights of strikes since the last count show the U.S. has shifted from episodic retaliation to a sustained nightly campaign, now explicitly tied to avenging American deaths rather than only protecting shipping.
